I actually picked up a MSX Coding Guide, kind of old, but it worked for them.
First: Find a compiling program
Second: Find a site for sources.
Third: Your best friends are in order
Ctrl + C
Ctrl + V
Ctrl + F
Ctrl + S
Fourth: Congratz, you completed nothing.
Ok serious now. Pick up a book like C++ for dummies, or go to holz's site and read learn c++ in 21 days(not rly 21 days tho), or just plain google program languages.

It takes along time to completely understand C++. C++ for dummies is probably the best book to get if you're wanting to learn how.

C++ for dummies wont teach you how to code hacks, it will just make you understand c++ better.
If you're gonna start coding, I suggest you start with Visual Basic and code some simple apps so you will understand basic C syntax, once you think you're pretty knowledgable in that field, get a book about C++ and go from there. :)
