as some of you know i'm into the development of games, and i was looking around to see what platforms are open for dev ( with the games industry being of several consoles, not all the coding is the same in aspect of toolsets ). which turns this into interesting and difficult task, if i stick to windows there directx and opengl as a fundamental. but with 3gen consoles, things aren't quite the same
i've seen a wiiBrew thing that will allow the console to boot home brew games, and theres info on how to aquire the sdk related to the wii. this to me is an awesome opportunity, because you have the wiiMote and the 'crosshair' that it projects. to me this is just a replacement input instead of the mouse. if i can design and build a relatively simple app that shows off the mathmatics/prototyping of the games mathmatics/machanics, for the time be i'm just gonna have a fiddle with the tools first to see what i will be able to do in aspect of knowledge^skill. and to see if they will work on my laptop too
one of the things i did picked up as i was on a browse was an AI example,
the AI is a simple game of tag (capture the flag without guns), and this example is a visual representation of the mathmatics within the game.
i did not code this, but it shows a vary clear visual theory onto how ai would animate within game space against an opposing team.
the apps that i intend to make are like such, just small prototypes that show the working models of a game / program intention, i know that i alone cannot produce the qualities of such games upon any 3gen consoles. so it would be better to build a small selection of math dependant calculations and algerithms that will allow me to port them into any used tools need for the development.
anyways, peace ka0s?
