Valve, the makers of Half-Life 2, said the leak followed a concerted hacking effort on the company's computers over a number of months.
The source code lies at the heart of a game and is kept a closely guarded secret to stop other people copying it.

It contains Batch files for compiling aswell as C++ code should be very intreasting to the programmers who want to see how to develop a good game.

If I remember correctly, it was only a part of the alphacode back as it still was in development.

Gabe called from 2003, he wants his HL2 sauce back. This is relatively useful anyway so good to have around.
