I was going to mention that, but I think this section gets more hits etc its probably more useful here for a bit. Then maybe after a week or two it would be good to move it into the tutorials sub forum.

but i got one question left:

why don't you simply jump from the hooked function to the original functions + 5 bytes(size of jmp instruction) to execute the original code?
it would be much more performance friendly then unhooking, calling and rehooking the original function.

Hm, but then I would have to execute the 5 bytes i have overwritten in my hooked function? I have seen some detour classes that have a trampolin to do this but well, i can afford that few thousand cpu clocks to unhook and rehook =)

open .gcf's and look in the weapon script files. there you get spread/recoil/... values
